=== Material Category ===

Choose a material or a material category from the the drop-down menu, type in a specific name or choose a material via a JavaScript snippet. \\
:!: Keep in mind, assigning a material to a parent node will inherit this to the child nodes as long as they don't have an own material.

There are materials starting with a "@" character or without, this indicates different kinds of categories explained inside the [[ig.creator:assets:materials:categories|Assets/Materials/Categories]] page.

=== Mapping ===

The mapping overwrites the given material properties scale and rotation. A mapping can be selected from the drop-down menu. \\
:!: Different to the material, a mapping is not inherite from the parent node. Each node needs its own mapping.
